CH Cloud Dancer's Jet to Bertschire JH WCX    "Jet" is our first Dutch import.  Click here to read about our first visit to Holland.  Jet won his 6-9 month puppy Sweepstakes and regular classes at the 2003 national specialty in Carlisle PA, then went on to Best of Opposite Sex in Sweeps and Reserve Winners Dog!!   Jet is co-owned with Kellie Kanipe.  See pictures of his dam, "Dazzle" on this site.  More Jet pictures can be found here.  Jet is an outstanding house dog and quite an entertaining character.  Level bite.  Eyes are clear and his gonioscopy is slightly affected.  Pure for black.  OFA information

Jet's health, faults and what he produces : Jet has produced two litters to date with a third expected July 2010. He has produced only one health issue and that is a dog with mild contact allergies. Jet is hypothyroid and so was his dam. He has a littermate with a grade 4 luxating patella. His health has been excellent. At seven, he did bloat and had surgery for it in March 2010. The bloat was very mild and recovery uneventful. His dam died of bloat at ten years of age.

Jet is producing lovely headpieces, great bone and his field work is also very exciting, as he demonstrates natural marking ability, high drive, excellent water attitude/entry and trainability! Jet is a dog of excellent stability and extraordinary judgment in matters of the "pack". He is an easy dog to live with and has a wicked sense of humor! Jet has fabulous side movement and is light on his feet. He has a beautiful forechest, nice balance and great bone. His feet are the best we have ever had; his nails have NEVER been trimmed. His head is to die for and very masculine. He has nice length and depth of rib and is a dog of good proportions. He has fabulous bone.

Jet's faults: Jet is not great in the topline. His movement coming is a bit wide and going, a bit close. He is cheeky in the head piece. He is physically insensitive in training. He could be a more elegant dog.

CH Cloud Dancer's Kindred Spirit  SH WCX- "Dutch" is a powerful, athletic Dutch import.   He has great drive and extraordinary biddability in the field.  Dutch was shown in the Puppy Sweepstakes and in the regular classes at the 2004 national specialty, where he was placed 2nd in his sweeps class and 3rd in his regular class. In very limited specialing, Dutch finished 2005 as the number 18 FCR in breed points.  Dutch is always complimented on his style and drive in the field and earned his WCX in his first attempt.   He has produced very well, passing on his type, depth/length of rib and his personality!  He is also producing outstanding working ability; extremely biddable pups with high drive.  A son from his first litter has JAM'ed at 2 consecutive national specialties and has a breeder-owner-handled Sporting Group 3.  Very sound coming and going, with excellent side movement, he displays "power without lumber, raciness without weediness".  He is a very pleasant house dog, with a kindly and respectful temperament.  Most recently, Dutch won the field trial dog class at the SEFCRF supported entry and made every cut right up to Best of Breed.

Dutch's health, faults and what he produces: Dutch has been bred 5 times. Litters can be found on the health page. Dutch has produced far better than he is, giving excellent toplines, lovely balance and clean lines to his litters. He can improve a head. He needs more underjaw. His bone is good and movement outstanding. He is poor in the croup and could use more angle in the shoulder as well as length of neck. He could use more length of coat although it is as thick as carpeting. His coat is very flat. Dutch has produced no health problems to date and does not have any health issues. In temperament, he is a worrier and is not always sure of his position in the pack. He is not a dog fighter but is not great with small puppies. He should not be bred to bitches with similar issues in their lines. He is bomb proof with people, kids and adult dogs. We use him to test aggression cases in our training kennel. Dutch is not a pushy dog and does not need to be with you at every waking moment.

Dutch is co-owned with his breeder, Richard van der Horst.  Scissor bite.  Eyes are clear, and gonioscopy is mildly affected.  Pure for black.  OFA information

Dutch, German, Luxembourg and American CH Serilde Qualcosadatenere JH WC (Kai) spent 2 years in the US, on loan from Swallowsflight kennel in the Netherlands.  Kai is a lovely dog of outstanding character, who has been a consistent and important producer in Europe, and has achieved a "B" working certificate (intermediate level) in Holland.  He is 24", carrying substantial bone, a lovely head, very deep in body and a beautiful topline and tailset.  Kai finished his American championship in his first 4 consecutive shows, with 4 majors.  He was also awarded Best of Breed from the veteran's class at the NEFCRC supported entry in September 06 and Best Veteran at the CRFCRC supported entry in March 07.  At the 2006 national specialty, Kai was awarded Best In Veteran's Sweepstakes and placed 2nd in a large 7 - 9 year veteran's class.  Click here for inquiries.  Health information available on request.  Scissor bite. Pure for black.  Eyes are normal.  Kai passed away just shy of his 10th birthday.

There is so much I can say about Kai.  He was, without a doubt, one of the most outstanding producers I have ever known. He could fix a topline, croup and rear on anything. He would not fix a head but, if the bitch had a nice head he would not make it worse. Kai was bred many times in Europe and extensive information is available from Leonie Galdermans at swallowsflight.com. He was one of my all time favorite dogs and was impeccable with all dogs. Once, he emerged from the puppy yard with an entire litter hanging off of him like beggar lice. He just smiled and wagged his tail. The health issues he produced in the US are listed on our health page. Frozen semen is retained on this dog.

Brookestone Built To Last - Pictured at 5 yrs, "Brick" is a nice liver boy from Brookestone kennel. His sire is an Almanza dog with no Larry O'Grady in his pedigree (Larry was widely used in Sweden, so it is difficult to find an Almanza pedigree without him - it's not a bad thing to have him there, just unique when he isn't!), and his dam is a mix of Danish, English and Swiss lines.  He has an excellent head and gorgeous side movement, with correct depth and length of ribcage, a nice front and a gorgeous rear.  We like him a lot!  He has a charming personality and lives with multiple dogs in Atlanta with the Johnson family.  Brick was started his field training and showed a lot of promise, with plenty of drive and very natural retrieving ability.  Brick placed 4th in his 15-18 months sweepstakes class and won the large 12-18 month regular class at the 2006 national specialty, and won 3 points in the breed ring before being retired to companion status.  He was also placed 2nd in a large American-bred class at the 2007 national specialty in Minnesota.  Brick carries yellow.  Scissor bite.  Eye exam is normal.   OFA information

'03 BISS CH Dutch Lux  Swedish CH Steelriver Could It Be Magic JH, CW2006

"Robin" was on loan to us from the Netherlands from early 2003 until early 2004.  He is owned by Wilma van der Horst.  His breed type, silhouette and temperament are exceptional.  In addition to winning several Group placements in Europe, Robin was awarded Best of Breed at the Dutch clubshow (May 2006), making him a specialty winner in the USA and in Holland.  We hope that his qualities will be of great use to us, and he has already produced some exciting children in the US!  He is consistently producing his silhouette, coat, working ability (especially marking), water attitude and wonderful temperament. In the US, Robin has 3 Senior Hunter titled offspring, including one with a Master leg and another with Senior legs.  Robin has received a clear gonioscopy as well as cleared for eye diseases by a board-certified ophthalmologist.  Scissor bite.  He is pure for black.  OFA information  Frozen semen has been retained. Dutch Am Can CH Flat Castle's Olympic Torch JH

Thor (Tor) was on loan to us from Swallowsflight kennel in Holland.  Thor has been an exceptional producer in Europe, as well as a successful show dog, winning the Dutch clubshow in 2005, then came to the States to win '07 FCRSA national specialty Winners Dog/Best of Winners.  He finished his US CH by winning BOB over specials, and going on to win the Sporting Group.  In his short specials career since then, Thor has won several more group placements, including a second Sporting Group 1.  He is consistently producing his silhouette, headpiece and overall quality.  Thor was awarded a Judge's Award of Merit at the 2008 national specialty in Albany, OR.  Quite a character, with a happy "life is a bowl of cherries" attitude, Thor never has a bad day!  Thor has all Dutch clearances (available on request).  Eyes clear

CH Bertschire Horse Power JH WC - at 3 yrs old.  We didn't intend to keep a boy from the Kai x Barrett litter, but "Power" was quality from the day he was born.  He has great bone, a gorgeous head, beautiful forechest, topline and length and depth of rib.  Power has begun his field training and is very exciting; exhibiting above-average biddability, strong retrieve desire, great water attitude and a quiet sensibility.  He is trustworthy with puppies as well as adult male dogs.  At his first national specialty, Power placed 3rd in his sweepstakes class, and 2nd in the competitive Bred By Exhibitor class at the tender age of 17 months!  At the 2008 national specialty, Power again placed 2nd in a strong Bred-by dog class, then went on to Reserve Winners Dog.  Power was Winners Dog from the Bred-By class at the 2009 specialty to finish his championship, then picked up his final JH leg to title.  Power was awarded a Judge's Award of Merit at the SEFCRF supported entry May '10.  At the 2010 national specialty in Auburn, IN, Power was named Best of Opposite Sex!  Power lives with Annemiek Kuik and family near Atlanta.  Level bite.
