Accomplishments

Bertschire is proud to list the following accomplishments over the years.  We are especially proud of our FCRSA accomplishments and specialty wins, as these ribbons are often recognition from our peers in the breed:

CH Bertschire's Cotswold Chaos CD TD JH WCX HOF - Chaos - 2X Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed winner; Sporting Group winner; multiple Sporting Group placements; FCRSA Hall of Fame

CH Bertschire's The One And Only WC - Maddie- top-producing bitch, with Sporting Group winners included among her children and grand-children; working field dogs with multiple WC, WCX, JH and SH titlists; specialty-winning and-placing children and grand-children.

CH Bertschire's Full Spectrum UDX TD JH NA WCX HOF - Redneck - Sporting Group winner; multiple group placer, Specialty JAM winner in both breed and field; FCRSA Hall of Fame

CH Bertschire's Obsidian Shadow UD SH WCX HOF - Shadow - littermate to Redneck and Shiner - Our first Senior Hunter and a FCRSA Hall of Fame recipient.

CH Bertschire's Blac N Blue CDX JH WCX - Shiner - Group placer and sire of the 1998 National Specialty winner in Brenham, TX

CH Twin Oak's Joyeaux Noelle - Ellie - FCRSA National Specialty Winners Bitch 1999; producer of FCRSA Specialty Puppy Sweepstakes winner 1998.  Another daughter has twice been awarded a JAM in National Specialty competition and was named Best of Opposite Sex in veteran's sweepstakes at the national specialty in 2006.  Ellie's great-grandson was both RWD and WD at consecutive national specialties.

Bertschire's Venus Williams - Venus - winner of the 1998 National Specialty Puppy Sweepstakes.  This is the only time Venus has ever been shown, as an injury ended her show career.  She has produced a Senior Hunter son, a national specialty JAM winner and her grandson was both RWD and WD at consecutive national specialties.

CH Bertschire's Serena Williams JH WCX - littermate to Venus, Serena has 2 consecutive National Specialty Judge's Award of Merits to her credit, and has 2 legs on her Senior hunter title as well!  She was named Best of Opposite Sex in the veteran sweepstakes in 2006.

CH Bertschire's BadBadLeroy Brown NA - Leroy has earned 1 Judge's Award of Merit (JAM) award at the Colorado National Specialty, and was also Best of Opposite Sex to Bertschire's Venus Williams at the 1998 National Specialty Puppy Sweepstakes.  Leroy was also ranked in the top 20 Flat Coated Retrievers nationally for the year 2000.  Sire of the 2005 national specialty BOB.

CH Bertschire's Bad To The Bone - Bones is a littermate to Leroy, and has earned a National Specialty JAM at both the 2000 Kentucky specialty, and again in 2003.

CH Huntlane Under The Sea JH WC- Madison is our stud puppy from a breeding of Leroy to CH Huntlane Hakuna Matata SH WCX.  She finished very easily, and has begun a career as a special, earning multiple group placements in limited showing, and ranking as #2 FCR bitch in all-breed competition summer 2003.   At just over 2 years of age, Madison also earned a Judge's Award of Merit at the 2003 national specialty in Pennsylvania and earned another JAM at the 2007 specialty in Rochester, MN.  Madison became specialty Best of Breed in Perry, GA in 2005!  Madison was ranked in the top 10 every year she was campaigned ('03, '05, '06).  She retired from the all-breed ring following the 2007 Westminster KC show.

CH Cloud Dancer's Jet to Bertschire JH WCX - Jet was imported from the Netherlands at age 8 weeks.  He debuted at the national specialty in Pennsylvania, where he was Best Of Opposite Sex in Puppy Sweepstakes, and also went on to win Reserve Winners Dog (behind the eventual WD, BOW, BOB winner) from the 6 - 9 month class!

MACH Bertschire's Bad Idea MX MXJ WC - Athena became a MACH Flat Coat in agility in September 2004!  You can see her picture and learn more about her here.

CH Swallowsflight Excalibur's Enigma (Dutch import) was Reserve Winners Dog at the Perry national specialty in 2005, and began his specials career in 2007, ranking #6 after just 2 months out.  Exel has sired a Senior Hunter daughter and a national specialty Best of Opposite Sex winner.

CH Bertschire Fly By Night JH has begun his specials career with some impressive awards.  He has a breeder-owner-handled Sporting Group 3 as well as 2 national specialty JAMs at just 4 yrs of age.

CH Bertschire Horse Power JH was the FCRSA Reserve Winners Dog in 2008, then followed up with Winners Dog at the 2009 specialty to finish his championship.

  CH Bertschire House On Fire finished her championship by winning the breed over specials the day after a supported entry (40+ FCRs entered), then went on to a Sporting Group 3.
