MACH Bertschire's Bad Idea MX MXJ WC CGC

"Athena" was placed with Dr Debbie Martin as "just a pet".  In September 2004, Debbie and Athena earned the Master Agility Champion (MACH) title, becoming only the 4th FCR to earn this distinction!.   For the MACH title, dogs  must earn 20 double Qualifying scores  and 750 pts. As of 9/15/03, Athena has 524 pts. and 25 double Q's!!   Athena is also nationally ranked for both Mach points and Double Q's among Flat Coats.   

Debbie and Athena train at Sirius Dog Agility Training Center in metro Atlanta. She is also a Certified Therapy Dog with "Therapy Dogs of Georgia" and "Happy Tails".  She visits the Gwinnet County Children's Shelter, the Cerebral Palsy Day Care Facility, and goes to local elementary schools and works with Special Needs children.

She was on the "Zig and Zag Alpha Dog Challenge" show (on Animal Planet about 4 yrs ago) and won the Golden Collar for dog agility!! She will also be appearing on "Animal Tails" (on Pax T.V.) on Oct. 5th at 6pm for Therapy Dogs of Georgia.

Most recently, she competed in Agility at the FCRSA National Specialty 2003 and took 2nd place in Excellent Standard and 1st place in Excellent Jumpers with Weaves.

Athena has introduced Debbie to the exciting world of dog sports, and she now has a new rising agility star in her young dog, Gem!
