Youngsters These dogs are too young to have OFA numbers, so are not yet officially part of our program. When all clearances have been obtained, we will make breeding decisions on them.
Bertschire Ovation - Pictured at 15 months of age, Bravo is one of a litter of just two. We are delighted with her type, size and personality so far! Her head is excellent, with a dark eye, and she has a lovely forechest, topline and is a nice mover, with good length and depth of rib. She seems to be a near-perfect combination of her parents (CH Cloud Dancer's Jet To Bertschire JH WCX, x Brookestone Believe It Or Not) taking all of their virtue without taking their faults! Bravo has won 5 points, including a Best of Breed win over ranked specials, was named Best in Puppy Sweepstakes and Reserve Winners Bitch at the SEFCRC supported entry at 17 months of age in May '10, then followed up with another major RWB the following day. Eyes clear Bravo is co-bred and owned with Jennifer Andrews of Huntlane.
Victory's Grace Under Fire - Grace was a gift from her breeder, Judy Gladson of Victory Retrievers. Her dam's side represents some of the best US working lines and her sire's side combines classic Torwood and Braemist lines from England. Grace is a delightful youngster, demonstrating intensity and focus in the field. Combined with a pleasing head, strong topline, lovely silhouette and effortless sound movement, we hope that Grace will fit well into our breeding program. She has earned her first 2 points, her first weekend out in the show ring. Here she is at 14 months of age. Eyes clear
Bertschire Pyromania - Spark is our pick from the Dutch/Flame litter. We love his head, bone, topline, forechest and rib proportions! He is a clean mover coming and going. In addition, he loves to retrieve and swim, so we think he is very promising! He is pictured at 1 year of age. Spark began his show career in a big way - his first time in the ring at 7 months old, he was Reserve Winners Dog behind his cousin, Slide at the FCRCI supported entry in Illinois, November 2009, then was Winners Dog and Best Of Opposite (to his mother, who was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed!) over multiple specials for a 5 point major the following day! Spark placed 4th is his sweepstakes class at the 2010 FCRSA national specialty. Eyes clear
Flat Castle's Aristolochia Durior - Drum is our first import from the Flat Castle's kennel in Holland. We had long admired both of his parents and were delighted to be able to buy this nice pup. Drum has fantastic bone, a gorgeous head and a correct silhouette. He is a charming puppy; delightful to live with. Drum won Best In Sweepstakes at the MD Sporting Dog supported entry in March '10, then was Best of Opposite Sex in the puppy sweepstakes at the SEFCRF supported entry in May '10 and followed that with a 3 point major from the 9-12 class. Drum won a sweepstakes 2nd and a regular class 3rd at the 2010 FCRSA national specialty. Eyes clear
Starworkers Questions To Be Asked - Quiz was imported from the Starworkers kennel in Denmark. Pictured at 4 months old, she has super bone, a lovely head and excellent silhouette, proportions and movement. Quiz LOVES to retrieve and swims eagerly. At the 2010 FCRSA national specialty, Quiz won the 6-9 month regular class. She is co-owned with Cheryl Kistner and Marilyn Wilcox of Kistryl FCRs near Chicago. Eyes clear
